HerringRosie Herring, 94 of Batesville formally of Aurora passed away Wednesday February 24, 2016 at Waters of Batesville. Rosie was born Saturday January 28, 1922 in Madison, IN. the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Buchanan) Wood. Rosie married James Herring December 25, 1941 and he preceded her in death May 12, 2008. Rosie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sparta Baptist Church. Rosie enjoyed family, camping, traveling, reading her bible, and taking care of her red roses.
Rosie is survived by daughters: Diane (Ray) Heis of Brookville, IN. Rose (Cecil) Perry of Eminence, MO. 8 Grandchildren 18 Great-Grandchildren 9 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herring, 2 sisters: Thelma Buffo and Beatrice Hudson.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday February 29, 2016 at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home, Moores Hill with Pastor Rick Burcham officiating. Visitation will be Sunday February 28, 4-6PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Sparta Baptist Church through the funeral home.
