Ronald E. Canada, age 68, of Rushville, Indiana and formerly of Brookville, died Thursday evening, October 19, 2017 at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville, Indiana.
Born February 14, 1949 in Marshes Siding, Kentucky he was the son of the late George & Rachel (Rose) Canada. On June 19, 1969 he was united in marriage to the former Dorine Oehlman, and she survives.
Ron was retired, having worked at Sperry Rubber & Plastics in Brookville for over 14 years, and then as a Truck Driver for Fraley & Schilling in Rushville for 16 years.
Besides Dorine, his loving wife of over 48 years, survivors include three daughters, Carla Hall of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Rhonda Ruble of Rushville, Indiana and Brenda Quinlan of Brookville, Indiana; a son, Brian Canada of Boston, Massachusetts; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Naomi Keith of Whitley City, Kentucky, Arlene Dorrel of Brookville, Indiana and Mabel Spradlin of Brookville, Indiana; two brothers, Harold Canada of Harrison, Ohio and Darrell Canada of Brookville, Indiana as well as many nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Cochran.
Chip West will officiate the Memorial Services on Thursday, October 26, 2017, 11:00 A.M., at Smyrna Baptist Church, 4047 U.S. 52, West Harrison, Indiana. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Big Cedar Cemetery in Brookville.
