Robert Ray Stout, 82

Robert Ray Stout, 82, of Greensburg, Indiana went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, with his wife at his side. He was born on January 17, 1943 in Muncie, Indiana to Raymond and Helen Stout. Most of his childhood he lived in Rockwood, TN.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Sherry, (Easley) Stout; daughters, Tina Tallent of Greensburg and Michele (Corky) Owens of Westport; stepsons, Gary (Heather) Easley of Hollywood, MD and Jeff Easley (Cortney) of Greensburg. He is also survived by sister, Shirley Gauthier of Fla; brother, James (Barbara ) Stout of Kingston TN; grandchildren, Josh Deaton, Tyler Deaton, Whitney (John) Herbert, Evan Tallent (Kiara), Emily (Cory) Hastings, Cody Stout, Mikayla (Jeff) Whitaker, Taralyn (Chris) Bartlett, Jonathon Owens, Mariah Owens (Logan) Micah Owens, Lanee Owens, Bentley Owens, Abby Easley (Cole), Aidyn Easley, Ashtyn Easley, Hunter Rosenthal, Brandon (Jody) Vincent; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Paislee and Hudson Whitaker, Rosalyn and Carl Bartlett, Brinlee Deaton, Remi Hastings, Ellie Bower and baby Herbert coming in the fall; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and family.
He was preceded in death by son, Robert Ray Stout, Jr.; stepson, Christopher Easley; sister, Mary Williams; father, Raymond Stout; mother, Helen Stout Sebastian; stepfather, Ervin Sebastian and mother-in-law, Esther Ross and father-in-law, Gibson Ross.

Robert was a Navy Veteran and retired from Allison’s in Indianapolis. His carpentry ability and handyman skills and compassion for others kept him very busy after retirement. He was an active member of First Christian Church.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at the First Christian Church, 425 N. Broadway Street, Greensburg, Indiana on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am with Pastor Ray Sweet officiating and he will be laid to rest in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville, Indiana.
