An avid golfer, Bob was still golfing until just recently. He also enjoyed gardening and is well known for his roses. A member of the Greater Cincinnati Rose Society, anyone who has passed Bob’s house has seen the plentiful roses that adorn his yard. He took great pride in them and the comments he received. His real passion though, was his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Robert (Snork) and Mary Anne Walsman of Batesville, son Thomas Walsman of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren Libby, Amy, Nathan and Jonathon Walsman, Lynn Ann Raabe and great grandchildren Maggie, Laney, Ava and Carter Walsman and Charlie, Leo and Max Raabe. In addition to his wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by sisters Barbara Ernstes, Mary Ellen Picker; brothers Howard and Rev. Paul Walsman OFM and daughter-in-law Barb Walsman.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14th, at St. Louis Church with Rev. Shaun Whittington and Rev. Stan Pondo officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Margaret Mary Health Foundation. For online condolences go to www.weigelfh.com.
