Robert I. Jordan, 63, of Martinsville, passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born on September 30, 1954 in Greensburg, the son of Kenneth Everett & Julia Alta (Mantooth) Jordan. Robert was born and raised in Greensburg. He had been a resident of Martinsville for the past 2 years. He had also lived in Elrod and Speedway. He had worked for Rexnord in Indianapolis for 11 years and NTN BCA in Greensburg for 25 years. He was a veteran having served with the US Army in the 1st Infantry. He enjoyed tinkering on cars, fishing, hunting, camping, NASCAR and football games. He is survived by his companion, Teresa Barger of Martinsville; his daughters, Julie (Richard) Canada of Somerset, Kentucky, Judy (Bryan) Forwalt of Holton and Jill Rohr of Greensburg; his sons, Ben Powers of Indianapolis, James Jordan of Greensburg and Justin (April) Jordan of Milan; step children, Autumn Gibson of Martinsville and Asa Gibson of Columbus; his sister, Judy (Paul) George of Greensburg; his brother, Daniel (Cathy) Jordan of Greensburg; his 21 grandchildren, his 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Jordan & Kenneth E. Jordan. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Rev. Tommy Beatley will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Rockcreek Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 1:00 until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
