Robert D. Cutter, 77, of West Lafayette, formerly of Aurora passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 at University Place in West Lafayette. Robert was born on Friday, March 23, 1945 in Springfield, Ohio; son of Edwin and Ruth (Benning) Cutter. Robert married Sharon (Stevens) Cutter on September 18, 1971 and she preceded him in death on February 9, 2014. Robert proudly served our country in the United States Army. He worked for Schenley Distilleries in the pumper department. He was a past member of the Aurora American Legion. Robert enjoyed golfing, bowling, coaching his son’s baseball teams, and served as treasurer for the Legion’s baseball team.
Robert will be missed by his sons Jason (Jennifer) Cutter of West Lafayette, Indiana, and Jared (Tonya) Cutter of Cape Coral, Florida; brothers Richard Cutter of Indianapolis and Ronald Cutter of Greendale; and granddaughter Emma Cutter.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ruth Cutter, and wife Sharon Cutter.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Robert from 10:00am-12:00pm Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will immediately follow at 12:00pm. The burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery with full military rites provided by Northcutt Laaker Post #292 of Dillsboro. Memorials may be given in honor of Robert to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer Association.
