Robert “Bob” L. Sherk, 83, of Greendale passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at The Waters in Dillsboro. Bob was born on Monday, November 13, 1939 in South Bend, Indiana; son of Harold and Iva Pearl (Broshears) Sherk. Bob married Barbara (Baker) Sherk and she survives. Bob proudly served our country in the United States Marines. He was a member of the Aurora Church of Christ, a Mason and Shriner. Bob was a self-employed jeweler, having a great passion for watch repair and jewelry.
Bob will be missed by his wife, Barbara Sherk of Greendale; sons Allen (Dawn) Sherk of South Bend and Kelly (Suzanne) of Warsaw; stepson Donald Emery of Lawrenceburg; twin brother Richard “Dick” (Joyce) Sherk of Michigan; brother-in-law Robert Yager; sister-in-law Virginia Sherk; nephew Kenneth (Brenda) Drury of Dillsboro; and great niece Tricia Obertate of Batesville.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Iva, brothers Fredrick “Fred”, Kenneth and Keith Sherk, sister Carlene “Kay” Yager, sister-in-law Laurayne Sherk.
A memorial service will be held at a later day. Memorials may be given in honor of Bob to the Shriners Hospital or Aurora Church of Christ.
