
(Ripley County, IN) – A Flood Advisory is in effect for Ripley County until 9:30 this morning.
The National Weather Service says flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Forecasters say potential impacts are minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, and some low-water crossings may become impassable.
At 6:50 a.m., radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms.
Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between one and two inches of rain had fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of a half-inch to one inch are possible.
Locations that may experience flooding include Batesville, Milan, Osgood, Sunman, Holton, Napoleon, Ballstown, Otter Village, Huntersville, Penntown and I-74 at State Road 101.
