(Napoleon, IN) – Awards were presented at the Ripley County 4-H Annual Meeting on Monday evening at the Napoleon Community Center.
Several volunteers were recognized for their commitment to serving Ripley County 4-H.
The Youth Leadership award was presented to Lloyd Darringer, a 10-year 4-H member of the Faithful Workers and junior Leaders 4-H Clubs.
The Adult Leadership Award went to Bryan Franklin, a 26-year volunteer, 4-H board member, and Beef Leader.
The Legacy Award was presented to Lisa Vestal, who is retiring as board treasurer.
And the Friend of 4-H Award was presented to two groups:
- The Batesville High School Welding class taught by Mark Struewing, who helped to fix the sheep pens at the Ripley County Fairgrounds as a class project.
- The Ripley Wranglers Horse and Pony Club Lighting Crew. That group helped install outdoor lighting for the horse and pony arena.
Enrollment for the 2026 4-H membership is now open.
