Southeastern IN — Southeastern Indiana property owners are being urged to watch the mail for a letter from a company requesting money for a copy of your deed (pictured).

The company called “Local Records” asks for $109.50 for a deed copy.

Those copies go for a much more nominal amount per page at your county Recorder’s Office.

If you have questions, check with officials at your county administration building or courthouse.
