Registered sex offender charged on new allegations

North Vernon, IN — On Thursday, the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on a Jennings County arrest warrant for allegations of Public Indecency and Inappropriate Communication with a Minor.

On February 4, 2021 Jennings County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to Geneva Township in reference to a male subject that had exposed himself to a female minor and offered to give her a ride in his vehicle. The female ran away from the suspect and told her parents. The family immediately called Jennings County Dispatch to report the crime.

Deputies initiated an investigation and were able to identify a suspect. In cooperation with the Jennings County Prosecutor’s Office, deputies were able to identify the male suspect as Brandon Cameron, 29, of North Vernon. Cameron is currently a registered sex offender. An arrest warrant was issued for Cameron where he was subsequently arrested. Cameron was booked into the Jennings County Jail where he is currently being held with no bond.
