After falling victim to a comeback in game one of the , the Cincinnati Reds had a comeback of their own in game 2, winning 5-3 over the Chicago White Sox on Saturday
The Reds fell behind 3-1 in the top of the 4th. TJ Friedl would have an answer as he hit a 3-run home run to give them a 4-3 lead. Friedl wasn’t done there. He would hit an RBI triple to give the Reds their 5th and final run of the game.
Friedl went 2-4 with a home run, a triple and 4 RBI.
Derek Law got the win for the Reds on the mound, throwing 2 and 1/3 scoreless innings. Alexis Diaz earned his 6th save of the season.
Mike Clevenger was the losing pitcher, allowing 4 earned runs while striking out 7 in 6 innings.
In Sunday’s game, Cincinnati would give up 11 runs in the second inning in their 17-4 loss to Chicago.
Graham Ashcraft was handed the loss, giving up 8 earned runs in just 1 and 2/3 innings work.
Michael Kopech grabbed the win on the rubber for the Chicago.
Jonathan India went 2-3 with a home run and an RBI for the Reds.
