Reds edge Giants, tie Rocks in weekend Cactus League play

Over the weekend, the Reds played two Cactus League games and picked up both a win and a split.

Cincy beat the Giants 2-1 on Saturday.  Kyle Farmer and Joey Votto drove in the two runs for the Redlegs.  Hunter Greene got the start and pitched two innings of scoreless ball scattering four hits.  Vladimir Gutierrez followed Greene with two scoreless frames of his own and struck out three.

On Sunday, the Reds and Rockies gave each other a hug after tying 4-4.   Outfielder Jake Fraley drove in a pair of Cincy runs.  Teammates Max Schrock, Jake Bauers and Donovan Solano all had two hits.
