Reds, Bengals and Colts all made moves Wednesday

In Cincinnati pro sports transactions yesterday, the Reds traded relief pitcher Amir Garrett to Kansas City for lefty starting pitcher Mike Minor. Minor was 8-12 last season for the Royals with a 5.05 ERA.

Cincy signed free agent right-handed relief pitcher Buck Farmer to a minor league contract. He has been invited to spring training.  Farmer appeared in 36 games for Detroit last year with a 6.37 ERA.

The Redlegs also signed veteran infielder Donovan Solano.  Last season with the Giants, he batted .280 with a .748 OPS in 101 games.

Two players whom Reds GM Nick Krall said would not be traded are starting pitchers Luis Castillo and Tyler Mahle.

Meanwhile, the Bengals resigned long-snapper Clark Harris.  Harris will be back for his 14th season and is 38 years old, the second oldest player in the league behind Tom Brady.  Jokes aside about the age, Harris has 1876 long snaps without a single unplayable delivery.

The stripes have also resigned safety Mike Thomas and wide receiver Michael Thomas.

The Colts made a move yesterday also.  Indy traded cornerback Rock Ya-Sin to the Raiders for edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue (pronounced en-GAW-kwey for those interested).
