(Versailles, IN) – The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) has taken delivery on two vehicles from Enterprise Fleet Management.

To date, the sheriff’s office has received 11 new vehicles this year, which addresses a previous shortage.

Sheriff Rob Bradley says they are well on their way to replacing the entire fleet, which he says will improve deputy safety.

He added the longtime deputy shortage is easing.

Jordan Pelfrey and Earl Wilhelm (pictured with Bradley and the new vehicles) were recently hired, and will receive the new two vehicles.

Bradley says they will attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield this fall.

He adds once Pelfrey and Wilhelm graduate and complete field training, the sheriff’s office will be fully staffed when it comes to deputies.

“I want to thank the (Ripley County) Commissioners and Council for their diligence in working with the Sheriff’s Office team to accomplish this milestone for RCSO,” Bradley said.
