(Greensburg, IN) – At just 12 years old, Max Schory, a seventh grader at Batesville Middle School, is in his sixth year of fundraising for the Hospital Foundation of Decatur County.
Each year, whether independently or with the help of classmates, Max creates art in different mediums, and the proceeds help the Foundation continue to support the patients of Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH). Max’s incredible philanthropic spirit helped raise $521 this year.
For this year’s fundraiser, Max created a grid painting across 48 canvases featuring a beautiful beach landscape with text reading, “Trust the journey, even when the path is hidden beneath the waves.”
Each year, Max’s pieces are led with hope and heartfelt encouragement.
Max has a clear passion for helping others and giving back. In the future, he hopes to become a surgeon, helping patients in need. His strong interest in healthcare inspires him to continue doing his fundraiser year after year.
“Max’s creativity and generosity are truly inspiring,” said Mandy Lohrum, Director of the Hospital Foundation of Decatur County. “Each year, Max’s fundraiser supports the Foundation and allows us to further our support of DCMH.”
