Purney “Marie” Corbin, 88

Purney “Marie” Corbin, 88, of Clarksburg, went to be with Jesus on October 16, 2024. She was born on August 10, 1936 in Casey Creek, Adair County, Kentucky, the daughter of James L. and Flossie Holt Corbin. Marie enjoyed to garden, crochet, embroider, reading, and puzzles. She loved flowers and people, and would say that a stranger was just a friend she hadn’t met yet. Marie worked at Heritage House in Greensburg for 25 years in the dietary department.
Survivors include: daughter, Maria Fletcher, brothers, Richard Corbin, Donald Corbin, and Dale Corbin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Randolph Scott Fletcher; and Siblings, Mary Juanita Corbin, Clara Edna Corbin, James Corbin, Vina Sallee, Helen Anderson, Benny Corbin, Wanda Faye Corbin, Charles Corbin.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, 1114 W. Westridge Parkway, Greensburg, Indiana 47240 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 pm. Brother Matthew George will be officiating.
