Update (1:52 p.m.)
We’re learning the powdered substance has been tested and police determine it is non-toxic and does not pose as a safety risk.
Honda spokesman Anita Sipes says the substance was discovered along with a written note inside the manufacturing facility. State and local authorities were notified immediately.
“Because the health and safety of our associates and their families is our highest priority, we stopped production during testing,” Sipes said.
The Greensburg plant is working with law enforcement to investigate the criminal nature of the note.
Production has resumed at the plant, Sipes added.
