North Vernon, IN — The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) was dispatched to the Sunoco gas station, on State Street (State Road 7) in North Vernon, on Monday at around 11:30 p.m., in response to an armed robbery. Officers were reportedly told that a white male subject had brandished a handgun at the store clerk and then fled the store on foot with stolen money.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5 foot 6 inches to 5 foot 9 inches tall. He was wearing dark blue or gray shorts with a dragon design on the side, a light gray undershirt with a dark gray shirt on top, and a ski mask. The handgun was silver with a black handle.
The investigation into the robbery is ongoing at this time, according to authorities at NVPD.
