Philip J. Horn, of Laurel, was born on October 28, 1927, a son to Peter and Loraine Michell Horn. He was a member of the United States Air Force. In 1951 Phil married Mary Stern and together they raised three children. He spent his career as a chef. In his free time, he loved to garden, cook, hunt, fish, and to spend time with his children and family. On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at the age of 92, Philip passed away peacefully at home.
Those surviving who will cherish Phil’s memory include his wife of 68 years, Mary Horn of Laurel; two granddaughters, Dawn Horn of California and Jaden Horn of Kentucky; one grandson, Peter Horn of Kentucky; three great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Phil was preceded in death by three sons, Philip, James, and Christopher Horn.
