Barbara Penny Baker, age 65, of Milan, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
She was born on May 5, 1959, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Willard H. and Matilda Woliung Baker. Penny was a lifelong resident of the local area, a 1977 graduate of East Central High School and a member of St. John Lutheran Church – Hubbell’s Corner, Indiana.
Penny enjoyed the outdoors and loved nature, especially her camping trips to Red River Gorge. She was an avid sports fan and played in softball leagues for many years. She also enjoyed spending time with her sister and friends along with many pets, namely her German Shepard dog and cats.
Penny’s family and friends will remember her for her big heart and genuine care for another. She was a kind and loving person who always had a smile on her face and a heart full of love. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Survivors include her siblings, Willard R. (Violet) Baker of Milan, Robert (Carol) of Sunman, and Dianne (Morgan) Hacker of Milan as well as one niece and three nephews, many cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Baker.
Cremation was chosen by the family. A Celebration of Life will be held soon for all those who knew and loved Penny.
