Peggy L. Largent

Peggy L. Largent, 90, of Aurora, Indiana, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and be reunited with her loving husband of 67 years, Tommy.

She was born April 13, 1932, in Wilmington, IN, daughter of the late Alfred M. Webb and Naomi (Marksberry) Webb.

Peggy previously worked as a beautician and a Dime Store Clerk. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Aurora.

Peggy and Tommy enjoyed camping with family, taking from 8 – 10 campers. This was special family time for them, playing games, sitting around the campfire, just enjoying each others company. In 2000 they took a trip to the west to commemorate the time they lived in South Dakota during Tommy’s military days. Peggy and Tommy spent 9 winters camping in Florida with some of his old military buddies. They also enjoyed camping at Spring Mills, Versailles State Park, General Butler, and Clifty Falls camp grounds. Peggy collected bells and enjoyed old western movies. She was a great cook, especially her potato salad and fried chicken. She loved to sing and rock her kids and grandkids; she was a devoted wife, mom and grandma.

Peggy is survived by her daughters, Lee Ann (Kenny) Shelton of Aurora, IN, Sharon (Dave) Craven of Patriot, IN, Julie Robinson of Milan, IN, Patty (Dave) Terrill of Aurora, IN, Becky Largent of Aurora, IN, Marie (Ken “Cricket”) Jackson of Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Megan (Devon) Marine, Craig (Jamie) Shelton, Reid (Morgan) Shelton, Kristie (Todd) Connley, Paige (Jonny) Deters, Brittany (Mario) Riep, Kara Banschbach, Stacy (Rob) Lloyd, Erick (Erin) Robinson, Alyse Knapp, Darcy Robinson, Eli (Jamie) Terrill, Hannah (Cody) Hobart, Jesse Terrill (Pete Lloyd), Trey (Mallory) Jackson, Tommy (Kyla) Jackson, Kelsie Jackson; 38 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Workman of Aurora, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Naomi; loving husband, Thomas Largent; sister, Verna Smith and infant brother, Jimmy Webb; granddaughters, Zoey Banschbach and Mattie Lynn Terrill.

Friends will be received Friday, May 13, 2022, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Aurora, 6060 Blair Road, Aurora, IN.

Services will be held at the church on Saturday at 11:00 am with Pastor Bill Secrest officiating.

Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
