(Clark County, IN) – Democrat Timothy Peck M.D. has announced his candidacy for the Ninth Congressional District seat currently held by Republican Erin Houchin.
Peck is is a former Harvard Medical School physician and teacher, who treated dozens of people who were wounded in the deadly April 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.
He later founded health care technology companies to enhance patient care based on his experiences as an emergency room doctor.
Peck and his wife moved to Clark County from New York City in 2020 to start a family. The couple has one son.
Indiana’s Ninth District encompasses 16 counties, including Ripley, Decatur, Franklin and Dearborn.
Houchin was first elected to the seat in November 2022.
