Patsy Anne “Pat” Garrison, 88, of Sunman (Manchester), Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022, in Lawrenceburg, IN.
She was born December 2, 1933, in Lawrenceburg, IN, daughter of the late George Sortwell and Jeanette (Harper) Sortwell. She worked as a printer for McPherson’s Printing Company, retiring after over 10 years of service. Prior to that, she worked at FSI Printing. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church. She participated with youth group in her younger years and also taught Sunday School. Pat was a volunteer for RSVP, and Dearborn County Hospital Auxiliary “Pink Ladies”. She enjoyed working in her garden, canning, Wordsearch puzzles, playing cards, and Dominoes. Pat enjoyed collecting angels. Pat loved time with family and will be missed.
Pat is survived by her loving children, Anita (James) Sinclair of Manchester, IN, Janice Metcalf of Lawrenceburg, IN, Charles “Lee” (Debbie) Garrison of Lawrenceburg, IN, Cheryl (Royce) Smith of Moores Hill, IN, Mark (Agustina) Garrison of Mexico, Karla Banschbach of Lawrenceburg, IN, Michele (Randy) Griffis of Manchester, IN, Terri (Mickey) Brogan of Aurora, IN; siblings, Robert (Alice) Sortwell of CA, Mildred “Midge” Cook of Guilford, IN, Betty Klausing of Tampa, FL, Ronald Sortwell of Covington, KY; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouse of over 40 years, Charles William “Bill” Garrison; Parents, George & Jeanette Sortwell and numerous siblings.
Friends will be received Monday, October 17, 2022, 11:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Community United Methodist Church, 18189 Possum Ridge Road, Aurora, IN.
Services will be held at the Church, Monday, at 2:00 pm, immediately following visitation.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
