Patricia “Pat” (Kilburn) Starker, 74, of Dillsboro passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at St. Elizabeth – Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born to Elihue and Oma (Gilbert) Kilburn in Milan, Indiana on Monday, October 21, 1946. She married Donald “Don” Starker on March 5, 1966 and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2018. Pat worked for Dearborn County Hospital as a switchboard operator and later transferred to the office area before her retirement. She was a member of the Dearborn Baptist Church in Manchester. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren, and family reunion gatherings. She had many interests that included, but not limited to, yard sales, auctions, giving gifts, and camping. She liked traveling during the fall to Gatlinburg to see the beauty of the fall leaves changing colors and enjoyed going to the beach.
Pat is survived by her daughters Kimberly Hunt (Bruce) of Dillsboro and Kelly Barrett (Doug) of Aurora; brothers Michael Kilburn (Pam) of Patriot and Dean Kilburn (Cheryl) of Dillsboro; sister Betty Johnson (Michael) of Ireland, Indiana; four grandchildren Allan Hunt, Sabrina Hunt, Alexis Barrett, and Morgan Barrett; and great granddaughter Sawyer Keller. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Elihue and Oma, and husband Don.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember Pat 11 AM – 1 PM Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Dearborn Baptist Church, 9638 State Road 48, Aurora, IN 47001. A service celebrating her life will be held at 1 PM also at the church with Pastor Darrell Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro.
