Patching begins Monday on I-74 between S.R. 101 and Ohio state line

Ripley and Dearborn Counties, IN— Patching work is scheduled to begin Monday, April 13, on I-74 between S.R. 101 and the Ohio state line in Ripley and Dearborn Counties. 

Daytime lane closures are scheduled as follows and will be in place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The work schedule is subject to change.

  • Beginning Monday, April 13 on I-74 WB: Right lane closed between Ohio state line and U.S. 52 (Exit 169)
  • Beginning Wednesday, April 15 on I-74 EB: Right lane closed between S.R. 101 (Exit 156) and S.R. 1 (Exit 164)

Additional patching operations will continue the following week and will include ramp closures at the S.R. 1 and U.S. 52 exits for up to two days at a time. Message boards will be in place to alert drivers of the closures. 

Mainline milling and paving is expected to begin next month on this same section of I-74. The entire project is expected to be complete by mid-October. Motorists should slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free in all work zones. All work is weather dependent.
