BATESVILLE – City workers are milling and paving several city streets beginning Thursday morning and concluding Friday, August 15.
Vehicles on affected streets need to be removed by 7:00 a.m. as grinding of the streets begins during the early morning. Once milling is complete, parking is permitted on the street until paving begins.
Residents affected by the milling and paving, received a notification via letter. Below are the streets impacted by the road work:
The following streets will be milled on Thursday, August 7 or Friday, August 8:
- Columbus Avenue – From Smith Street to Mulberry/Mitchell
- Woodlawn Drive – approx. 400 feet back from Huntersville to the West end
- Huntersville Road – from West Pearl Street to Sycamore Lane
- Sycamore Lane – from Huntersville Road to Fifth Street
- Fifth Street – from Sycamore Lane to Washington
- Central Avenue – from South Park Avenue to Liberty
- St. Louis Place – South side only from Clay to front of Church to South Walnut
- Depot – from Boehringer Street to Crestview Lane
- Intersection of Depot Street and Hillenbrand Avenue – mill & pave out hump
- Bob White – from Pheasant Run to Meadowlark Lane
- Meadowlark Lane – heading South to the dead end
The following streets will be paved during the week of Monday, August 11 – Friday, August 15:

- Northside Drive – from 229 to where the residential area begins.
