Pamela J. Moorman, age 60 of Oldenburg, died Saturday, December 10, 2022 at her home. Born November 14, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she is the daughter of Carol (Nee: Lohman) and Donald Berning. She married Darrin Moorman September 14, 1996 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Pam was a special education teacher 35 years for the Batesville School Corporation. She was a member of the Holy Family Choir and taught CCD at church as well as helping those at New Horizons with their learning.
According to her family, Pam liked to sing and dance, go for walks and work outside around the house. She was “pretty crafty” and always had the inside of her home decorated for the season or holiday. Pam also enjoyed traveling, with trips to Africa, Alaska and a European river cruise among her favorites. Family was what she treasured most and loved spending time with them, especially the grandkids. She was always up for an adventure, off to wherever or whatever her kids would talk her into.
She is survived her husband Darrin; daughters Alex Moore of Batesville, Devin Linette of Indianapolis; son Jim Moorman of Oldenburg; mother Carol Berning of Cincinnati; sister Teresa Moorman of Dayton and eight grandchildren. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her son Taylor Jones and sister Donna Berning.
Visitation is Thursday, December 15th, from 4 – 7 p.m. with a rosary at 4 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, December 16th at Holy Family Church with Rev. Carl Langenderfer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Holy Family Religious Education Fund or the ALS Association.
