The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its weekly report for the period ending May 6.
Congratulations to the area athletes who achieved Golfer and Performer of the Week honors in the ORVC.
Earning Golfer of the Week honors was Jac-Cen-Del’s Sam Schwering. Last week, Schwering shot a 37 in a match at Rising Star and a 43 in a match at North Branch.
Milan’s Ben Riehle and Austin Green shared Performer of the Week Honors in boys track.
Riehle ran top times in the 100m (11.57), the 200m (23.10), and the 400m dash (50.05), while Green recorded a conference-best height in the high jump (6’2″).
In girls track, South Ripley’s Emily Flood earned Performer of the Week Honors. Flood ran top times in the 100m high hurdles (15.23), the 100m dash (13.27), and the 200m dash (28.24). She also recorded the top height in the high jump (4’8″).
