The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its weekly report for the period ending February 19th. Jac-Cen-Del’s Caleb Simon and Southwestern’s Zach Cole were named Boys Basketball Players of the Week.
In three games, Simon had 60 points, 30 rebounds, nine assists and nine steals. He also went over 1000 points for his career against Switzerland County.
Cole also went over 1000 points as a Rebel in his game against South Ripley. Over his three game stretch, Cole had 60 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds and hit 70 percent from the field.
Other Ripley County athletes nominated as top performers included the Raiders Zach Gentile, Blaine Ward and Blake Volz along with the Eagles Wyatt Day.
