Two injured in Versailles crash

 

Versailles, In. — A Versailles woman was injured in Friday morning crash on U.S. 421 near Clearview Drive.

A report from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department says around 10:30 a.m. Jessica Richards, 36, of Versailles, was northbound and slowed to make a left turn. Benjamin Lawhorn, 23, told police he became distracted and struck the rear of the Richards vehicle. The collision pushed Richards into the path of a truck driven by Randy Keller, 57, of Eaton, Ohio.

Richards was extricated by the Versailles Fire Department and transported to a local hospital for treatment. A passenger, Oscar Hamlin, 40, was also transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Lawhorn and Keller were not injured.
