Oldenburg, IN — Oldenburg Utility Services has been in the process of installing new meter reading systems in homes in the area. The new systems will allow information to be fed to a computer system at the Utility office on a daily basis, and would allow set up of alerts for customers, should they experience an increase in usage over the norm.
The process began in mid-December, but crews are experiencing issues and need access to homes with meters in basements. Crews are attempting to do work on Saturdays and Sundays and will be wearing bright colored/clearly marked Oldenburg Utility shirts and driving the town’s utility truck when they come to your home. Installation time should take around 15 minutes per customer.
