(Osgood, IN) – Seventh-ranked Trinity Lutheran outlasted sixth-ranked Oldenburg Academy in a double-overtime thriller Wednesday night, ending the Twisters’ season with a 63–58 victory in Class 1A Sectional 60 at Jac-Cen-Del High School.

Marley Warren scored 18 points to lead the Cougars, delivering key baskets late in regulation and both overtime periods. Rachel Bonde added 14 points, while Bailey Bonde finished with 12 as Trinity Lutheran leaned on balanced scoring to pull away in the second extra session.

Oldenburg Academy forced overtime behind Ali Nobbe, who led the Twisters with 16 points, including a game-tying three-pointer in the final minute of regulation. Rachel Suttmann scored 14 points, while Gina Grote and Norah Haverkos added 13 points apiece in the season-ending loss.

Oldenburg controlled the early going and built a 20–11 lead in the second quarter before Trinity Lutheran methodically worked back into the game. The teams traded baskets throughout the second half and stood tied at 36 after three quarters. Trinity led by five with less than two minutes left in regulation before Oldenburg rallied to force overtime on Nobbe’s clutch three-pointer.

The Cougars had a chance to win at the end of the first overtime but missed a pair of free throws with 2.1 seconds remaining. Trinity Lutheran finally seized control in double overtime, converting at the free-throw line and locking down defensively to close out the win.

Trinity Lutheran (18–4) advances to Friday’s sectional semifinal against Hauser. Oldenburg Academy finishes its season at 19–4.
