Greensburg- After starting the 1st quarter scoreless, the JV squad fought back to cut the Rushville lead to 1 point at halftime 16-15.
Sydney Rohls took over in the 2nd period with 11 points and the Charger defense caused several key turnovers from the Lady Lions.
After the break, Jo Whitaker knocked in a pair of buckets but the Chargers still trained after three-quarters of play 23-19.
Ally Whitaker had an impressive 4th quarter, scoring 7 points. Brook Mauer and Emma Schoettmer both contributed with 2 and 4 points respectively. Kacie Ogden continued to play tough defense down the stretch. With limited time on the clock, Jo Whitaker drilled a three-pointer from the corner to tie the game and force it into overtime.
North was outscored in OT 9-5 as Rushville knocked in just enough free throws to keep the game out of reach.
The JV Lady Chargers snap their 7-game winning streak and drop to 8-5 on the season.
