Norma Ann Canfield, 91, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Monday April 19, 2021 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
She was born February 12, 1930 in Covington, KY, daughter of the late Harry D. Jarboe and Georgia L. (Burns) Jarboe.
Norma was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Aurora and the American Baptist Women. She taught Sunday school, and along with her husband Mervin, sang in the choir. Norma was also a life long member of The Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Phi Beta Psi sorority. Norma enjoyed playing in a local card club, loved to entertain and was a gracious hostess who looked forward to gatherings of family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and needle crafts. Together with her husband, she took joy in feeding the birds and planting flowers. Norma delighted in being with her grandchildren and attending their activities.
Norma is survived by her children Robbie King of Rising Sun, IN, Damon Canfield of Naples, FL, Bruce (Theresa) Canfield of Greendale, IN; grandchildren, Brandon (Katrina) Canfield, Amberly King, Trenton King, Lauren (Evan) Allhands, Drew Canfield; and great-grandchildren, Autumn Carpenter, Mirabel Canfield, and Odette Canfield. .
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Mervin Canfield; and siblings, Betty Abdon, Harriett Burns, and an infant brother.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, May 22, 2021, in the Life Center of the First Baptist Church of Greendale from 2:30-4:30 pm.
