Nolan Glen Mitchell, Age 71 of Lecanto, Florida, passed away on July 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 21, 1952, to the late Bert and Mary (Anderson) Mitchell. Nolan was a graduate of Milan High School, Class of 1971. After graduation, Nolan moved to Florida where he spent the remainder of his life. He had taken welding in High School and would continue in that field, spending the majority of his working years as a Boilermaker for Florida Power and Lights.
Nolan was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, the Moose Lodge and was the President of SecretTown of Florida. He had many passions in life including; Hunting, Fishing, Riding his Harley, and Scalloping. He had even created his own scallop cleaning machine.
Nolan enjoyed life and his true passion was his family and friends. Nolan was ready to meet his Savior, and he really only questioned why anyone would drive a Ford and not a Chevy? He will be greatly missed by his Children; Scott (Christie) Mitchell, Tracy Davis, David (Candace) Davies and Erin Mitchell. Sisters; Joyce (Ray) West, Lamona West, Judy Hargrove and Special Cousin Linda Wollam. Brothers; Eddie Mitchell, Jesse Mitchell and Brother-in-Law Toby Frey. He also held a special place in his heart for his 10 Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brothers and Sister; Clinton, Marty, Vic, Lonnie, Bud and Janine.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 10AM to 12PM, at the Milan Wesleyan Church in Milan, Indiana. Masonic Rite Services will be conducted at 12PM, with funeral services following. Pastor Steve Allen will be officiating.
