(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Parks and Recreation has a new Executive Director.
Chris Noblitt comes to Decatur County from Columbus (IN) Parks and Recreation, where he served as a customer service specialist.
While there, he managed and hired staff; planned programs; coordinated marketing strategies; programmed several special events, and managed all facility calendars.
“We’re very excited to have Chris join the team at the Parks Department, and his experience with both parks management and youth sports will be essential as we preserve and expand the assets we have here in Decatur County,” said Parks and Recreation Board President Bryan Robbins.

There are ample opportunities to explore and our future looks very bright at the Parks Department,” Noblitt said. “I want to sincerely thank the Decatur County Parks and Recreation Park Board for giving me the opportunity. Finally, I would like to thank the community for your support. Community support will be vital in the growth of our Parks Department.”
Noblitt lives in Columbus with his wife Leslie.
He succeeds Teresa Kovachic, who retired in May.
