(Milan, IN) – A gas leak that was centered near 8490 E. Old State Road 350 in Milan Sunday afternoon prompted a shelter-in-place order within a two-mile radius.
The Milan Volunteer Fire Department, Ripley County Emergency Management, additional first responders and the Southeastern Indiana Natural Gas Company immediately went to the area.
The road was closed during the emergency response.
The gas leak was shut off just after 2 p.m., and the shelter-in-place order was lifted around 2:15.
There were no injuries reported.
