New Batesville Police Officer Sworn In

(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Police Department gained a new officer this week.

Shane Trepanier is a Greensburg native who comes to BPD with seven years of law enforcement experience, including time with the North Vernon Police Department and the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office.

He stepped out of law enforcement for a few years, and most recently spent time with Great Plains Communications.

In his previous time in law enforcement,  Officer Trepanier specialized in K9 handling and SWAT, and has Honor Guard experience.

Trepanier is going through field training with several veteran Batesville officers.

He was sworn in by Police Chief Mike Manus on Monday.
