Ms. Reva Jane (Metcalfe) Fliehman, age 77, of Rising Sun, Indiana, entered this life on August 6, 1943 in Addyston, Ohio. She was the loving daughter of the late, William Thomas Metcalfe and Betty Joe (Miller) Metcalfe Harding. She was raised in Patriot, Indiana where she attended the Patriot High School. Reva was employed as a nurses aid for many nursing homes throughout her life. Reva enjoyed reading and will be deeply missed by her loving family. Reva passed away at 4:12 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021, at the St. Elizabeth-Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Reva will be missed by her son, Jimmie Hardin, Jr. of Rising Sun, IN; her daughters, Tonia “Peanut” Savage of Cincinnati, OH, Gerrilynn Henderson of Warsaw, KY and Michelle Riddell of Lexington, KY; her 14-grandchildren; her several great-grandchildren; her brother, James William “Bill” Metcalfe of Florence, IN; her sister, Wanda Rudisell of Cincinnati, OH; her half-brother, Joseph Harding of North Bend, OH; her half-sister, Vickie Henderson of Patriot, IN and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas Metcalfe and Betty Joe (Miller) Metcalfe Harding; her daughter, Angela “Carol” Hardin; her brother, Lehman Allen “Pete” Metcalfe and her step-father, Joseph Harding.
Reva’s wishes were for her body to be donated to science and to make a lasting and meaningful contribution to medical science.
