Mrs. Mary Katherine (Davis) Hill, age 77, of Rising Sun, Indiana, entered this life on November 17, `947 in Switzerland County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late George Washington Davis and Wilma Helen (Davis) Fogle. She was raised in Switzerland County where she attended Vevay High School. Mary was employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay and Osgood, Indiana for several years. She enjoyed fishing, working crossword puzzles, reading and sewing. Mary passed away at 9:38 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at The Water’s of Rising Sun in Rising Sun, Indiana.
Mary is survived by her daughters and son, Katherine “Kathy” Dunning of Aurora, IN, Audrey McAlister of Indianapolis, IN, Larry McAlister and his wife, Danielle of Indianapolis, IN, and Lisa McAlister of Lewisville, TX; Memaw’s grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Terry, Derek, Kevin, Caitlin, Shannon, Tavia, Nevaeh, Joseph, and Justin; and her several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Washington Davis, died March 3, 1974; her mother, Wilma Helen (Davis) Fogle, died April 16, 1970; her great-grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters.
Mary’s wishes were to be cremated with no formal services at this time.
