Mrs. Donna Sue (Stucker) Ballard, age 75, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on April 28, 1949 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Barton Andrew Stucker and Mary Marie (Richards) Stucker Cole. She was raised in Madison, Indiana where she attended Madison High School. Donna was united in marriage to Martin Jay “Jack” Ballard, Sr. in Madison, Indiana. This happy union of 33 years was blessed with four children. Donna was formerly employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana for several years. She was later employed as a deckhand for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana, from 2000-2020. Donna enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, watching movies and spending time with her family. Donna passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Donna will be missed by her sons, Martin J. Ballard, Jr. of Florence, IN, Raymond Lee Ballard of Aurora, IN and Tommy J. Ballard of Florence, IN; her daughter, Mary Sue Varley and her husband, Kelly of Madison, IN; her grandchildren, Susan Varley of Vevay, IN, Michelle Varley of Madison, IN, Madison Cheyenne Ballard of NC, Kassidy Ballard of Florence, IN and Kayla Ballard of Aurora, IN; her 10-great-grandchildren; her brothers, Raymond Stucker and his wife, Norma of Hanover, IN and Billy Stucker and his wife, Tammy of Kokomo, IN and her several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barton Andrew Stucker and Mary Marie (Richards) Stucker Cole; her husband, Martin Jay “Jack” Ballard, Sr., died November 11, 2001; her step-father, John Cole; her step-mother, Beatrice Matilda (Eaglin) Stucker Skirvin; her brothers, Noland, Michael, Jerry and Bart Stucker; her sisters, Sharon Counts and Roxie Arvin and her infant-sister, Debra Stucker.
Donna’s wishes were to be cremated with no services being held at this time.
