Mrs. Dara Daniela (Meyers) Swanson, age 55, of Bennington, Indiana, entered this life on June 15, 1965 in Washington, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Lawrence Elwood Meyers and Treva Gay (Raney) Meyers Ragle. Dara was a 1983 graduate of the Grace Christian School in Washington, Indiana. She attended the Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee. Dara was first united in marriage on October 14, 1984 in Washington, Indiana to David Martin and they were blessed with three sons. Dara was later united in marriage on July 26, 2008 in Nashville, Indiana to Dana Carroll Swanson. This happy blended family shared 12 years of marriage together until her sudden passing. Dara was formerly employed for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana, Dorman Products in Warsaw, Kentucky and the Fairview Grocery Store in Fairview, Indiana. She was currently employed for the Fastenal Company in Ghent, Kentucky. Dara was raised and baptized in the First Christian Church in Washington, Indiana. Dara enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of her family. She was always up for a motorcycle ride with her husband, Dana or a shopping spree on Amazon. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and abundance of friends, but especially her dog, Nikki. Dara passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at her residence in Bennington, Indiana.
Dara will be missed by her husband, Dana Carroll Swanson of Bennington, IN; her sons, Levi Martin and his wife, Kayla and Samuel Isaac Martin and his fiancée, Cierra Brettnacher all of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Tristan Martin, Kennedy Johnson, Audrey and Anthony Brettnacher; her step-daughter, Angela Swanson and her fiancé, Cody Painter of Daleville, IN; her step-son, Clint Swanson and his girlfriend, Mallory Phagan of Bedford, IN; her sister, Rachel Lea of Lawrenceburg, IN; her brothers, Paul Meyers and his wife, Dianna of Sparta, MI and Shawn Meyers and his wife, Carolyn of New Castle, KY; her brother-in-law, Darren Swanson and his wife, Angela of Bennington, IN; her mother-in-law, Daisy May (Scudder) Swanson of Vevay, IN and her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son: Aaron Daniel Martin; her father, Lawrence Elwood Meyers; her mother, Treva Gay (Raney) Meyers Ragle; her step-father, Donald Ragle and her father-in-law, Carroll Frederick “Buddy” Swanson.
