Mrs. Alberta (Griffith) Waren, age 93, of Fishers, Indiana, entered this life on November 17, 1929 in Switzerland County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Isabell (Jackson) Griffith. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1948 graduate of the Vevay High School. On July 5, 1952, Alberta was united in marriage to Glen Arthur Waren in Indianapolis, Indiana. This union of 65 years of marriage was blessed with three children. Alberta was a former employee in the accounting department for Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Speedway, Indiana. Alberta passed away at 2:40 a.m., Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the Carmel Health and Living Community Center in Carmel, Indiana.
Alberta is survived by her son, Randy Waren and his wife, Ann of Fishers, IN; her son-in-law, Mike Hankins of Martinsville, IN; her grandchildren, Kenton Hankins and his wife, Julie, Kevin Hankins, Isabelle Waren and Jack Waren; her great-grandchildren, Zoey Hankins and Daisy Mae Hankins; her brother, Eugene Griffith and his wife, Nancy of Madison, IN; her sisters, Carolyn Wolf of Indianapolis, IN and Lucille Shoemaker and her husband, Bill of Kokomo, IN and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Griffith; her mother, Isabell (Jackson) Griffith; her husband, Glen Arthur Waren, died June 25, 2017; her daughter, Rebecca Hankins; her son, Robert Waren; her sisters, LaVerne Self, Marilyn Riley, Louise Smith and Joan Wright and her brothers, Charles Edward and James Chester Griffith.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 17, 2023, by Pastor Chris Clemans in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
