Mr. George Everett “Bud” Davidson, age 85, of Lamb, Indiana, entered this life on January 18, 1939 in Acme, Indiana. He was the son of the late John and Deloris Emma (Laraway) Davidson. He was raised in Napoleon, Indiana where he attended high school. George met the love his life, Evelyn Brandon, at the bowling alley, and they tied the knot on February 3, 1973 in Vevay, Indiana. They spent many years together bowling on several leagues and dancing at the Moose Lodge. Throughout his life, George explored various professions, ultimately finding his passion in construction work. His work in construction required many travels of him, building major highways in neighboring cities and states. He was a dedicated worker who took pride in his craftsmanship as a heavy equipment operator and general foreman for 30+ years, retiring from Evans Construction in Louisville, Kentucky. Beyond his career, Bud enjoyed a wide array of hobbies that brought him joy, including mowing, gardening, golfing, bird watching, and feeding hummingbirds. He also enjoyed trap and target shooting, playing guitar, photography, and helping maintain Treasure Cove Campground. Above all, George cherished his time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding immense joy in their laughter and adventures together. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. Bud’s life was a testament to the joys of family, nature, and the simple pleasures that make life meaningful. George passed away at his home at 9:40 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
George will be missed by his wife, Evelyn E. (Brandon) Davidson of Lamb, IN; his daughter, Georganna Ray and her husband, Troy of Vevay, IN; his step-daughter, Tammy Welch and her husband, Eric of Bennington, IN; his grandchildren, Ashley Gorrell and her husband, Josh, Alexis Carfield, Ariana Morris and her husband, Keegan, Amber Clark and her husband, Michael, Meghan Cobb and her husband, Jimmy, Juliana Welch and Colleen O’Sullivan; his great-grandchildren, Greyson Everett, Brooks, Ruby, Myles, Jaxon, Capri, Wylder, Dalton, Hudson, Hadley and Harper; his brothers, Harry Davidson and his wife, Nancy of Burlington, WI and Jarold Davidson and his wife, Kim of Indianapolis, IN; his sisters, Janet Clark and her husband, Steve of Seymour, IN and Linda Hayward of Indianapolis, IN and his several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Davidson, died November 18, 1995; his mother, Deloris Emma (Laraway) Davidson, died November 8, 2007; his infant son, George Monroe “Buddy” Davidson, died June 14, 1959; his daughter, Jackie Rose Davidson, died April 13, 1986; his step-son, William DeWayne “Billy” Field, died August 15, 1980; his sister, Thelma LaBonty, died August 5, 1999; his brother, Harold Davidson, died November 18, 2020 and his brother-in-law, Johnny Hayward, died October 9, 2007.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, by Pastor Mike Barnes, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
