MMH presents dangers of tobacco to St. Louis

coalition-logoBATESVILLE, Ind. — Margaret Mary Health employees recently presented “Get Real About Tobacco” to the 6th grade students at St. Louis School.

Kim Linkel and Meg Applegate spoke on behalf of the Coalition for a Drug Free Batesville.

They talked about what tobacco is, the multitude of chemicals contained in tobacco, and the effects it has on the body.

Real life examples were used in the presentation to show the real life effects of tobacco use.

One example was students calculated how much money they would save in a year if they did not smoke.

Making good life choices was a main focus of the presentation.
