Miss Paige Allison Marie Ridener

Miss Paige Allison Marie Ridener, age 25, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on October 12, 1994 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 2013 graduate of Switzerland County High School. Paige was a national qualifier in Business Professionals of America. She was also a varsity cheerleader and participated in cross country and track. Paige was crowned Miss Switzerland County, Queen of Hearts and Miss Edelweiss Princess. Paige attended University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana and Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Indiana where she was pursing a degree in business. Paige was employed for Galaxie in Louisville, Kentucky and for Match Cigar Bar in Jeffersonville, Indiana where she made a lot of friends. Paige had a strong work ethic and was the first face you saw and was always greeted with a grin and a loud greeting. She always went the extra mile and could put a smile on the face of staffers, customers and delivery people. She would call you honey or sweetie whether you liked it – or deserved it. She never complained or put herself first. You could always count on her energy and her smile for a boost. She was a 10 year 4-H member where she participated in showing sheep, consumer clothing and other various crafts. Paige was very outgoing and was full of adventure and will be remembered for her love of kayaking and participating in pageants. She enjoyed spending time with her significant other, Joe Buchheitt, her family, her friends and her dog, Coffee. Paige passed away heroically on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at her parents residence due to a house fire in Vevay, Indiana.

Paige will be deeply missed by her parents, Darwin Harold “Dobbie” and Lisa M. (Phelps) Ridener of Vevay, IN; her paternal-grandparents, Darwin and Jeanette Ridener of Vevay, IN; her siblings, Carly Archer and her husband, Adam of Vevay, IN, Casie Jesop and her husband, Ryan of Vevay, IN, Courtney Dayadharum and her husband, Nathaniel of Vevay, IN, Joe Spilman and his wife, Shellie of Vevay, IN, David Campbell of Vevay, IN and Jason Campbell of East Enterprise, IN; her biological brother, Quintin Freeman; her significant other, Joe Buchheitt of Jeffersonville, IN; her nieces and nephews, Halle Archer, Adalyn Archer, Beckham Archer, Jett Archer, Ashlyn Jesop, Easton Jesop, Isaiah Dayadharum, Micah Dayadharum, Madison Spilman, Michael Spilman, Mason Campbell and Rayson Campbell and her numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal-grandparents, Bill and Del Phelps; her aunts, Amy Childress and Chrissy Ridener. Paige was joined in death by her siblings, James Samuel “Sam” Ridener, Jordan Thomas Ridener, Joshua “Austin” Ridener, Emilee Alyssa Ridener and Elizabeth “Grace” Ridener.

Private family services are being held at the convenience of the family.

A Celebration of Paige’s Life will be held at a later date.

Interment will be held in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
