Miss Karen “Pee Wee” Green

Miss Karen “Pee Wee” Green, age 71, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 6, 1952 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Earl J. and Geneva L. (Tucker) Green. Pee Wee was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1971 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. She played basketball and volleyball in high school. Pee Wee was a former nurse technician for King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana, retiring in 1996 after 23 years of service. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church near Moorefield, Indiana. Pee Wee enjoyed baking, painting, embroidery and photography. Pee Wee passed away at 12:29 a.m., Monday May 20, 2024, at the Waters of Dillsboro-Ross Manor in Dillsboro, Indiana.

Pee Wee will be deeply missed by her twin sister, Sharon (Green) McClure of Pleasant, IN; her sister, Phyllis Chase and her husband, Dennis of Florence, IN; her nieces and nephews, Ashley Brinson and her husband, Matt of Cross Plains, IN, Colen White and his wife, Jennifer of Bessemer, AL and Tonya Burks and her husband, Lloyd of Shelbyville, IN; her great-nephews and niece, Wyatt Brinson, Zachary White, Chelsea White and Brandon White and her aunt, Darlene “Sue” Armstrong of Greensburg, IN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl J. Green, died June 26, 1997; her mother, Geneva L. (Tucker) Green, died February 15, 2022; her paternal-grandparents, Julius Green died March 2, 1963 and Ella (Bromwell) Green, died January 19, 1960; her maternal-grandparents, George Dewey Tucker, died March 19, 1990 and Muriel (Romans) Tucker, died December 31, 1999; her sister, Sonya White, died May 14, 2019; her niece, Marietta Elaine (McClure) Hon, died February 15, 2024; her nephew, Donald Ray “Donnie” Hon, Jr., died May 19, 2014; her several aunts and uncles and her brothers-in-law, Clifford A. White, died July 15, 2015 and Nelson Wayne McClure, died December 17, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2024, by Pastor Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
