(Batesville, IN) – Milling and paving operations as part of a Community Crossings Match Grant from INDOT are set to begin on several streets in the City of Batesville over the coming days.
Milling is scheduled to start on Thursday, April 16, weather permitting, along Pearl Street from State Road 46 to Main Street, then proceed to the following:
- Prairie Avenue, from Central Avenue to Pearl Street;
- Central Avenue, from Prairie to Park Avenue;
- Beech Grove Avenue, from Main Street to Park Avenue;
- Walnut Street, from St. Louis Place to Pearl Street; and
- Main Street, from Boehringer Street to the dead end north of Kipper Street.
Paving will immediately follow on all streets being milled.
The City of Batesville and Dave O’Mara Contracting say minimal traffic and trash collection disturbances are anticipated.
“Patience and cooperation are appreciated as roadways are improved,” the city and contractor said in a statement.
