The 7th Grade Batesville Bulldogs made the comeback of the year Tuesday night over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Dogs could not get anything going in the first half and went into halftime down 15-6. The third quarter wasn’t any better and and Batesville entered it down 23 to 13. In the fourth quarter, sparked by some strong defensive play by Deacon Hamilton, the Bulldogs turned it on and outscored St. Louis 24-6 to win the game 37 to 29. Coming on strong offensively was Conner Drake with 15 points, Jack Grunkemeyer and Chris Tillman with 8 each and rounding out the scoring was Brendan Heiser, Deacon Hamilton, and Sam Johnson adding 2 each. The St. Louis Cardinals 8th Grade Boys Basketball team defeated the Jac Cen Del Eagles tonight in the second round of the SEI tournament by a score of 40-19. The Cardinals will now play in the SEI Championship on Thursday night at the St. Louis Activity Center.
